Terms of Service
Last updated 26 July 2026
Owl is offered to invited testers while it is in development. These terms are deliberately short and plain.
Using Owl
Owl records meetings you choose to record on your own device and turns them into notes and to-dos. You may use it for your own work. Don't resell it, redistribute it, or try to extract the credentials it uses.
Your responsibilities
- Tell people you're recording. Recording laws differ by country and state; complying with them is your responsibility, not ours.
- Keep your access to yourself — accounts are approved individually.
- Don't use Owl for anything unlawful, or to record anyone who has objected.
Your content is yours
Meetings, transcripts, notes and to-dos belong to you. We claim no ownership over them and don't use them to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Availability
Owl is pre-release software provided as-is. It may change, break, or be withdrawn, and AI-generated notes can be wrong or incomplete — check anything that matters. Because your data lives on your device, keeping your own backups is sensible.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Owl is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use, including anything missed or misstated in an automatically generated note.
Ending access
You can stop using Owl at any time by deleting it and revoking its Google access. We may end access to the hosted AI service — for example if it is being abused — and will tell you if we do.
